The Bilimbi is a fruit bearing tree cultivated many regions throughout the world with numerous health advantages. The scientific name of Bilimbi is Averrhoa bilimbi. It belongs to the genus Averrhoa, family: Oxalidaceae. It is believed that this delicious fruit is native to Malaysia and Indonesia, but now it is also cultivated widely all over the world for domestic and commercial purpose.
